President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has instructed to organize festive events for the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and to present valuable commemorative gifts to war veterans and home front workers. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva made a report on preparations for the celebration of the anniversary date. According to her, talks about the heroic pages of the war years, song and music meetings, exhibitions, as well as flower-laying ceremonies at the “Memory of the People” memorial complex and monuments of military glory in the country’s velayats are planned in the country.

The head of state noted that Turkmenistan has great respect for its compatriots who contributed to the Victory and creates all the conditions for war and labor veterans who educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, courage and bravery.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high level of events dedicated to Victory Day and to organize the pres”ntation of valuable commemorative gifts to war veterans and mothers working on the home front.
