President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, held at the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex, TDH reports.

The Head of State got acquainted with the thematic exhibition demonstrating the national traditions of horse breeding. Yurts representing the capital, the city of Arkadag and the velayats of the country were installed on the territory of the complex, where carpet weaving, jewelry, as well as works by sculptors and artists are presented.

The solemn event was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations.

Equestrian competitions became the central event of the holiday. Dozens of horses took part in seven races over various distances. The main prize of the President of Turkmenistan and the rolling Cup in the final race at a distance of 1800 meters was won by the horse Bezirgen, belonging to the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan. The rider is master jockey B.Agamyradov.

There was also an award ceremony for the winners of the marathon and show jumping competitions held earlier this week. In the long-distance marathon, Polat's horse with rider S.Seyidov showed the best result, and Altynkhan's horse with jockey Y. won the show jumping competition.Chopanov.

At the end of the award ceremony, the head of state was presented with a carpet on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse.
