On May 15, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Turkmenistan, Kęstutis Vaskeliauskas.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the Mejlis briefed the ambassador on the main directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, as well as on the large-scale national programs and comprehensive reforms being successfully implemented, the structure of the Mejlis, and its multifaceted activities.

Kęstutis Vaskeliauskas expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and noted that it was a great honor for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, a nation widely known for its peaceful policy.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence that the friendly and fruitful relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Lithuania will continue to develop and be enriched with new and concrete content, according to the website of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
