President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a number of specific instructions at a working meeting on the agro-industrial complex to intensify seasonal agricultural work and prepare for the grain harvest campaign, TDH reports.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahalliyev reported to the head of state on the progress of agricultural work in the country. According to him, appropriate measures have been taken to organize the wheat harvest in compliance with the established deadlines. Grain collection points, elevators and vehicles for transporting crops have been prepared.

Comprehensive care measures for cotton fields are currently being implemented throughout the country. Row-by-row processing, thinning, weeding, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering are carried out with the effective use of agricultural machinery and aggregates.

Rice sowing continues in Dashoguz Velayat, and preparations for these works are underway in Lebap Velayat. In parallel, silkworm cocoons are harvested and handed over to the state. In the regions, potatoes and other vegetable crops are being cared for, as well as the harvest of ripe crops.

Summing up the report, the President noted that timely implementation of agrotechnical measures on agricultural lands, strict observance of agricultural technology standards, efficient use of land and water resources, consistent implementation of innovative methods in production contribute to high yields and sustainable development of agricultural production.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of the upcoming grain harvest campaign and instructed to carefully prepare for this crucial season. The President ordered strict monitoring of row-to-row processing of cotton, fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering in accordance with agrotechnical deadlines, and timely pest prevention work.

Special attention was paid to the need to accelerate the pace of cocoon delivery to the state in the Balkan, Dashoguz and Mary velayats, as well as to ensure rice sowing in Dashoguz Velayat in accordance with agrotechnical deadlines.

The President also gave instructions on the organization of timely settlements between cotton and wheat producers in the regions and service organizations and enterprises, strict control over measures for the care of potato and other vegetable crops.

In addition, the Head of state instructed to properly prepare for high-level events on the occasion of International Children's Day and World Bicycle Day, as well as to organize the preparation of the children's holiday season.
