The “Oguzrobot” team of schoolchildren from Turkmenistan took first place in the Skills Challenge category of the prestigious international robotics competition First Global Challenge 2025, held in Panama.
Participants from Armenia took second place in this category, and young roboticists from China took third place, according to ussatnews.com.
The competition, also known as the "Robot Olympics," took place from October 29 to November 1 and brought together young people from 190 countries.
The Turkmen team "Oguzrobot" includes students from Ashgabat's Specialized Secondary School No. 97, which specializes in advanced language studies: Ismayil Charyev, Emirhan Gylychmuhammedov, Aznavur Cholukov, Shirmuhammet Gulov, and Gurbangeldi Orazgeldiyev. The team is led by Myrat Sahetgulyev, an experienced teacher at Arkadag Educational Complex No. 1.
The First Global Challenge is an international robotics competition held in the format of the Olympic Games. This year's theme is focused on ecosystem balance and youth-led solutions for environmental protection.
