On March 20, in the building of the Ministry of Culture of Romania, a working meeting was held between Ambassador A. Annaev and the Minister of Culture of Romania, Ms. Raluca Turcan, during which issues related to holding joint events in the field of culture in the future were discussed.
During the meeting, the importance of the current bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of culture, which is a good basis for joint events, was noted, as well as the participation of Romanian delegations in various international events held this year in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.
The minister noted the interest of the Romanian side in cooperation with the Turkmen side in the field of culture and cultural exchange, participation in mutual events, as well as in establishing long-term partnerships with Turkmen museums and organizing mutual visits of music, dance, and theater groups to both capitals.
The Turkmen side, in order to further develop the established good level of contacts between the two sides, as well as promote the deepening of intercultural ties between Turkmenistan and Romania, proposed holding Days of Romanian Culture in Turkmenistan in 2025 and the opening of a bust of the Turkmen poet-philosopher Magtymguly Fragi in Romania.
In conclusion, the parties agreed that cultural diplomacy is an integral part of the dynamically developing Turkmen-Romanian relations.
