On November 10-11, Ashgabat hosted the XIV International Scientific Conference in the field of telecommunications, telemetry, information technology, television and radio broadcasting equipment "Turkmentel 2021". Like last year, this event is being held in a hybrid - online and offline format.

This event has acquired the status of an annual flagship event for the telecommunications community of Turkmenistan and has been held for 12 years. Regional and international experts participate in the forum along with Turkmen specialists. There is an exchange of experience on achievements in the field of communications, information technology, television and radio broadcasting, as well as world innovations in these industries and the prospects for the development of the market for communication and IT services.

Specialists in Domain Names field were Senior Vice President, Global Stakeholder Engagement, Senior Advisor to the President and CEO of ICANN Sally Costerton (ICANN) and General Manager of APTLD (Asia Pacific Top Level Domains) Leonid Todorov.

One of the sessions was also moderated by Mikhail Anisimov, ICANN Senior Stakeholder Engagement Manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

In their speeches and presentations, they noted the rapid development of Turkmenistan in the field of telecommunication technologies, the high level of this event, the prospects for bilateral cooperation with specialists from Turkmenistan, as well as the exchange of experience at international online meetings in the field of domain names.
