During a working visit by a Turkmen delegation to Urumqi, China, to attend the "Central Asia + China" conference on cooperation in production, education, science, and practice, a number of documents on cooperation in the field of education were signed.

In particular, framework agreements on cooperation in Chinese language teaching were signed with the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the PRC and Xinjiang Normal University (PRC) by Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute.

Under the signed documents, Turkmen higher education institutions plan to establish cooperation with the Chinese side aimed at conducting joint research and educational activities, expanding cultural ties, and creating a unified educational, cultural, and information space.
