The 1st International Conference on Cybersecurity “Cyber Security Summit Central Eurasia 2023” opened today in Tashkent. Authorized representatives of dozens of countries, including a delegation of the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency headed by the chairman took part in the first working day of the high-level conference.
The two-day conference (October 3-4) focused on issues of international cooperation to ensure regional data protection from cyber threats, development of modern digital solutions, exchange of experience in this area and the further effective development of interregional cooperation.
The event is attended by more than 250 delegates representing 130 companies from 24 countries, including regulators from countries such as Oman, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Japan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, as well as the International Telecommunication Union, FIRST, OIC-CERT. The main objective of the CSS 2023 Cybersecurity Conference is to create a high-level international interactive platform for the regional cyber community to exchange experiences, demonstrate modern solutions, open opportunities for new business cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis.
The theme of the conference is the importance of cybersecurity in the digital world: solutions, threats and cooperation with an emphasis on protecting critical infrastructure and business assets. More than 40 speakers presented their companies and solutions, including the head of the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev, who delivered a speech at the plenary session.
The conference's audience consisting of senior decision-makers, cybersecurity experts and users will explore dynamic global risk landscape and how cybersecurity can help countries in the region take full advantage of the socio-economic benefits offered by digitalization.
On the sidelines of the forum, the chairman of the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency, Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev had a meeting with the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov.
The possibilities of development of bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, protection of information from cyber threats, training specialists in the field of information and communication technologies and information security, and development of the digital economy were discussed during the meeting.
