Astana hosted “the Digital Bridge – 2023” international technology forum, the main IT event of the year in Central Asia, which was attended by more than 20,000 representatives of 30 countries and 300 companies, including a delegation led by the head of “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Agency Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev. The general meeting of the forum was attended by “TikTok” CEO Shaw Chu, founder of “the Digital Nomads” community Aset Abdualiev, “ICPC Foundation” Executive Director William Poucher, and “SpaceX” Vice President for “Starlink” Lauren Dreyer. During the forum, a number of roundtables and meetings were held with a special focus on advanced technologies. For the sustainable development of the economy, the issues of successful implementation of new ideas of IT specialists in all sectors, realization of perspective innovative projects and establishment of international cooperation in this sphere were discussed. Within the framework of these meetings, the head of “Turkmentelecom” Hojaniyaz Avganov held talks with the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin and Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Kazakhtelecom” JSC Nurzhan Baydauletov with the participation of Chairman of the agency “Turkmenaragatnashyk” Hajymyrat Hudayguliyev. At the meeting, in particular, the ongoing work to improve the digital network, the development of regional communications and the possibility of connecting transit operators to the international communication system were discussed in detail, and interest in deepening cooperation in these areas was expressed.
