President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Masoud Peseshkian on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, TDH reports.

"Noting that relations between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran are based on centuries–old friendship and mutual trust, the head of state expressed confidence that as a result of joint efforts, the strategic partnership will be further strengthened for the benefit of the two peoples," the message reads.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished Masoud Peseshkian good health and great success to all his initiatives aimed at the progress and prosperity of the Iranian people.
